Reindeers are not just for Christmas!
Keeping and handling reindeers is from our experience, definitely a lifestyle and not a job. These sturdy, intelligent, reliable animals require a unique set of skills and husbandry. These are skills we have learnt over the last 13 years with highs and lows along the way. We have carved out a herd to be proud of, reindeers can be unpredictable and challenging but with commitment, dedication and armed with knowledge of their requirements, this can be a rewarding and enriching experience.
Reindeers are tough as far as weather and ability to handle different elements but require regular training, enrichment and interaction. Our approach goes beyond a mere transaction, it is a heartfelt process of careful evaluation and mutual understanding. All reindeer have unique characters and abilities as do people, therefore it is paramount we match you with the correct animals.
Animals available range from:
Adult cow, magnificent entire breeding bulls, incalf females, yearlings. Castrated males on request. Bull (male) Cow (female) yearling (male or female) calf.
